Location: Invercargill

Salary: $68-74 per annum plus benefits
(depending on your level of experience
Permanent, Full time

About the job
A great opportunity is available for a Clinical Coordinator to lead a friendly, experienced team of nurses and caregivers helping them to provide the highest possible degree of direct care and service by assisting our client's residents to meet their emotional, social and spiritual needs.
  • Some of the daily responsibilities will include:
  • Strong leadership and support to staff to include mentoring and carrying out performance appraisals and consistent monitoring staff competencies 
  • Rostering, to ensure that all shifts are covered safely
  • Organising and leading regular staff meetings
  • Ensuring documentation standards are adhered to
  • Ensuring constant maintenance of standards in all aspects of care
  • Actively participating in the delivery of care to residents, applying principles of clinical best practice and leading by example.
  • Liaising with families and health professionals and dealing with any complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Developing and reviewing care plans
  • Participating in and ensuring that staff also participate in Continuous
  • Quality Improvement and best practice.
  • Support the Clinical Manager to implement excellent and safe nursing practice and with audit preparation.
To be considered for this Clinical Coordinator role, you must have:
  • Current APC & Interrai trained
  • Previous clinical practice and leadership experience 
  • Proven professional leadership skills 
  • Quality and Risk Management systems development  
  • Excellent computer skills (preferably Timetarget/VCare/Leecare etc)
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with a variety of people
  • Kind, caring, and patient manner
