This privately-owned company operating in the energy sector with revenue in excess of $300 million, assets greater than $3.5 billion and employing over 300 professional staff, delivers a range of energy solutions across the state. With a strong focus on high performance, safety and continuous improvement, they are engaged in a period of unprecedented growth and are recognised Nationally and Internationally as being at the forefront of global change in the energy sector. An exciting opportunity now exists to lead their finance team in the role of Head of Finance.

Reporting to the CFO, you will lead a team of fifteen in providing strategic leadership and management of financial operations, including regulatory, financial and management accounting, taxation, general corporate advisory, business planning and provision of financial services across the business. A highly visible role where you will foster relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders (including Board, auditors, advisory firms and other service providers), you will provide commercial finance advice for existing and new business opportunities, as well as drive improvements in financial systems integrity and efficiencies. A collaborative, supportive and coaching leadership style is essential to create a team culture where people feel empowered to utilise their creativity and problem solving skills to contribute to continuous improvement.

A contemporary leader, CPA/CA/CIMA qualified, you will ideally have experience working in a complex corporate environment undergoing significant growth and transformation. Previous experience in infrastructure, engineering, construction, utilities or energy would be advantageous, coupled with resilience, strong self-awareness and the ability to balance competing demands in a highly changeable environment. A natural networker and relationship builder, you will see the value in working across departments and being a change agent in your realm of responsibility and the wider business.

Lead the finance team and contribute to the development of organisation wide initiatives, focused on business growth, company strategy, culture and operational excellence.
