We help businesses search, book and pay for health information and services from healthcare providers across Australia.

We are seeking an experienced I.T. Security and Audit Officer to join our team based in Prahran. Reporting to the Technical Operations and Security Manager, this role will be responsible for developing, implementing and testing UHG's information security to protect information and prevent unauthorised access. This role is about identifying and investigating potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure the continued operation of core business functions.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Management of the internal security audit timetable
  • Audit and review of system access logs
  • Monitor all UHG systems identifying security risks 
  • Review current security trends and make suggestion regarding best practice to mitigate any security concerns
  • Assist in resolving IT Service Desk cases allocated to the IT security queue
  • Work with the Technical Operations and Security Manager to coordinate certification activities for various standards including ISO27001 and ISM
  • Coordination of information security compliance activities
  • Formal reporting on any security incidents to the business

To be considered for this role you will have:
  • Computer related tertiary qualification or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years in an IT role).
  • Working knowledge of IT security (minimum of 3 years in an IT security role)
  • Experience with End Point Protection Products
  • Knowledge of vulnerability management tools.
  • Security accreditation such as CISSP or CISA would be highly regarded.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise tasks independently and collaboratively within the IT team and wider UHG environment.
  • Demonstrate clear and articulate verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills
