Our client plays a central leadership role in the development and operations of the Australian sport sector and acts as the leading sports agency in Australia, building collaboration, alignment and effectiveness within the Australian sport sector.
Their Corporate Division is responsible for creating a bold, connected and inventive organisation, developing an integrated corporate solution for efficient streamlined operations, and removing unnecessary bureaucracy.
The Business Operations Branch is responsible for driving innovative, integrated and user-centred corporate governance and services.

To position:           
Contribute to the development and implementation of a contemporary governance environment that enhances the branch's ability to deliver on its strategic agenda.  Drive integrated planning and reporting processes and engage stakeholders throughout the process.
The responsibilities:    

In consultation with team managers, implement the organisational strategic agenda to achieve section and business outcomes.

This includes:
  • Contributing to the implementation of key governance priorities such as supporting delivery of the Corporate Plan, enhancement to our performance reporting including dashboards, project reports and delivery of the Annual Report.
  • Providing specific technical, logistical and administrative support for key governance activities including complaint management, conflict of interest processes and compliance reporting.
  • Preparing briefings, reports and associated papers related to governance and business improvement work program topics.
  • Provide practical guidance and advice to divisional areas to improve the quality of organisational planning and reporting activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies, guidelines and other resources that deliver business outcomes.
To be successful:  
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, management, public policy or similar preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing areas of corporate governance, strategic planning or risk management.
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide timely, compelling and concise advice to inform executive members and senior management to support decision making.
  • An understanding or willingness to quickly learn Power BI business analytics software.
