Our client provides a wide range of chemical water treatment services and engineering solutions globally. They are well represented nationally and in order to achieve their growth strategies, are seeking a Business Development Manager, based in either Perth, to further develop their customer base. From chemical treatment, to waste water and reprocess, filtration plants, and the production of specialised cleaning chemicals, they are equipped to serve a wide variety of industries and with Australian manufacturing plants, can do this swiftly. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for developing new business in Western Australia, primarily within mining. With a focus on mid to large tier customers, you will develop relationships, showcase the technical solutions and customer excellence “you” can provide and tender for business. Developing a sales plan and strategically delivering it is critical but being an accepted and trusted consultant is equally so.

This role has a high level of travel, as you travel to mines across WA. When you are not travelling, you will work from a home based office.


To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Degree qualified Chemical Engineer, Chemist or Metallurgist or similar
• Possess a strong local network
• Ability to sell technical solutions in applications relating to water purification
• Experience with the tender process
• Sales experience and history of meeting or exceeding targets
• Be hungry for the win – love the thrill of the chase
• A high level of commercial astuteness
• Effective communication skills
• Sound computer skills
• Valid driver’s licence
