Our client are a well-known global engineering consultancy with strong capabilities in large infrastructure projects.

Our client are a well-known global engineering consultancy with strong capabilities in large infrastructure projects.  They have recently been awarded a handful of mega rail and underground projects where they are design and project delivery partner in Singapore. The successful candidate will be mobilized into a high profile project locally upon commencement.
 
This role requires a strong communicator as a bulk of his/her time will be spent interacting directly with their client. You must have done at least a full cycle infrastructure project in Singapore and exposed to bids & tenders.

Responsibilities

• Leadership of the project controls group (team) within the business unit with a focus on; project planning, budget controls, document control and project reporting.
• Develop, implement and maintain project programme and progress reporting systems within the business unit enabling business unit Project Managers to effectively manage their projects through effective use of reporting tools etc.
• Perform project controls, conduct reviews and risk assessments of project opportunities to enhance business efficiencies and commercial returns
• Provide effective leadership, management and high level operational advice and expertise of the Project Controls / Project Support unit
• Will provide planning support (scheduling) to Project Directors/Managers as required, in the establishment of Project Programmes (activity schedules) for any project within the business unit (including proposals / tenders).
• Provide the team with the skills and resources to drive capability development and implementation of business strategies, policies, plans, programs and standards across all business unit operations
• Will support the business unit leadership in the development of business improvement strategies and standard operating procedures
• Will assist in developing and implementing business strategies to measure the performance of the team in terms of client satisfaction, quality standards, and compliance with legislation, corporate requirements and direction

Prerequisites 
  • A Degree in Construction Management or any related degrees
  • At least 10 years' of experience in cost management of large construction projects, preferably in infrastructure and in Singapore
  • Experience in utilization of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
