NZ part of a global manufacturing business delivering specialized solutions in a variety of industries. You may not have heard of their name but you're never very far from their products! A shiny corporate office this is not, however they are looking into a big revamp over the next 18months. They are a business who value innovation above all else, and people are encouraged to actively contribute to this. 

Some More Information About The Role

Reporting to a Business Unit Controller/FC who is very operational and strategy focused, you'll need to be capable of taking the accounts up to trial balance for review. This could be a step up for you, the main thing here is being adaptable to change no matter what you are used to doing as they have unique ways of doing things. 

Duties will include but not be limited to:
  • Managing all bank accounts & reconciliations
  • AP and AR coding & processing
  • Mange stock values & variances
  • Maintain Fixed Assets including CapEx
  • Profit & Loss, variance analysis
  • Balance Sheet recons with accruals/prepayments
  • G/L, Trial balance
  • Assist with budget preparation
  • Payroll (outsourced but preparation & review)
  • Tax compliance - GST, FBT, annual
  • ERP system subject matter expert (MYOB Exonet and a bespoke transactional/inventory system)
  • Financial year-end requirements for third party sign-off
  • General support to Financial Controller and operations as a whole.
So Who Are You & What Is Your Profile?

You are an open-minded operationally focused Assistant Accountant on a trajectory path in your career. You are a collaborative team player who adapts, in fact, thrives on change. Ideally, you have worked in a manufacturing environment with a strong inventory component and understanding of a production line.

You need to be more than decent on Excel and be able to exhibit this with examples of ad hoc reporting. You will have great communication skills and be able to confidently approach people from all backgrounds and levels to obtain or explain financial/operational information with simplicity.
