Our client is one of the fastest-growing geotechnical consulting firms in Australia, organised across various field offices around the country with their independent labs. They specialise in geotechnical design, providing cost-effective solutions for building and land development companies.
Currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer. They're looking for someone adaptable, passionate, and motivated, and is willing to get his/her hands dirty.
Their team carries out work for a wide range of challenging projects. They serve the engineering and infrastructure needs across many industries, which include: residential building construction, new mixed-use developments, commercial office buildings, government agencies, mining, environmental rehabilitation, retail and large infrastructure projects.
Your role will be predominantly field-based with a focus on drilling and utilising rigs, not supervising drilling, actual drilling work and may include some or all of these duties, which are typical of what you'll be working on at their worksites:
- Operating machinery
- Leica Total Stations and GPS units
- Laser distance measuring devices
- Aerial LiDAR techniques
- Taking soil samples Logging per AS1726-2017
- Producing site reports
- Producing feature surveys
- Assisting drafting, engineering and NATA accredited lab teams
- Communicating with clients/construction personnel
