What will I be doing?
As part of the Forensic team, the successful Engineer will be responsible for investigating building damage and defects of all types and sizes. This will typically involve structural and civil forensic investigation, accompanied by the drafting of detailed engineering Reports and subsequent legal representations.

You will analyse the damage to structures, analyse fire and water damage, undertake site damage assessment, construction defect analysis, coordinate the recovery and repair process, liaise with insurance companies and legal teams on behalf of clients, and attend client meetings to give evidence regarding our forensic findings. You will provide technical advice and support.

What do I need to have?
  • The ideal candidate will hold a Structural or Civil engineering degree
  • Chartered Structural Engineer or Chartered Civil Engineer designation or be working towards such a designation
  • Ideally experience working in a role with elements of forensic engineering
  • RBP
  • You will be experienced working with and providing technical engineering support to clients and lawyers, so have experience of liaising with clients and explaining technical elements to non-technical people in a client-focused manner
Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills, having worked well with a variety of different people in the course of your career, working both independently and in a team of others. You will also be able to take ownership of projects, maintaining client and internal company lines of communication as required, and liaising with internal teams to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of reports.
