Key Areas of Responsibility
• Business Relationships: Develop new customer relationships; Calling at all levels, including senior levels, of target customer organisations; engaging early in the customer buying process to discover customer needs you can fulfill and/or influence customer specification prior to bid. Actively seeks outs, plans and leverages internal and external relationships to drive business for your employer. Establishes strategic relationships or a vision for developing a committed customer. Networks internally with peers to achieve full customer satisfaction with the best in-house resources available to you.
• Sales Process: Continuously identifies new sales opportunities and focuses on providing consultative support by building value propositions for the customer; Manage and build customer contacts; Focal point for relationship strategies, sales plans, proposal strategies, and contract negotiations, for pursuits in play. Proactively leads, manages and executes the disciplined sales process from start to finish; anticipates customer needs and requirements ensuring that they are met every step of the way from sale to execution; acts as team leader internally and externally during the entire sales process.
• Customers: Engage technical buyers, economic buyers, and relationship buyers; engage customers at all levels in any organisation including executive level decision makers; could potentially pursue $1-$10M opportunities; could include competitively advantaged opportunities. Exhibits extensive knowledge of the customers’ business, strategic drivers, financial requirements and is able to discuss and leverage strategic business value in conversation at the highest levels of the organisation.
• People Management: Leverages resources to address customers’ drivers and initiatives; Guides and leverages management and executive sponsor interactions with new customers. Responsible for motivating others; provide strategic vision for order, margin
and growth in new accounts, new markets, and new geographies while driving self and others for positive business results for your employer. Provides teaming approach to critical analysis, wins or losses with the broader sales team and shares best practices with both
sales and leadership.
• Results: Profitable growth and focus on new customers and new opportunities; Orders and margin above set quota in support of Annual Plan.

Qualifications/ Experience/ Knowledge Job Specifications General Education / Qualifications
• Tertiary qualified (trade or degree) in a business or engineering related discipline preferred but not required. Experience • 3-7 years of business to business selling experience
• Proven experience prospecting for opportunities; building long-term strategic and executive relationships
Security Access Control Industry expertise and experience is essential
• Demonstrated previous customer acquisition experience
• Enterprise selling experience with collaborating across both
client and own organisation
• Extensive vertical customer expertise enabling effective
communications at the highest level
