About the role:
We are seeking a meticulous, diligent and communicative Accounts Payable Officer in a permanent capacity to join our Finance team in our Melbourne CBD office. We are also open to offering a fixed term contract for the right applicant. 
In this role you will responsible for the delivery of the Accounts Payable function, including:
  • Reviewing, verifying and processing a high volume of invoices 
  • Completing monthly statement reconciliations 
  • Process staff reimbursements 
  • Processing invoices and account management of fleet vehicle costs, telecommunications costs, office rental and outgoing charges for branch sites
  • Maintaining the accuracy and ensuring spreadsheets are regularly updated with supplier codes and invoices 
  • Performing the weekly draw-downs for Purchase Orders 
  • Creating new suppliers within the accounts payable system
  • Being accountable and in charge of branch office expense claims 
  • Maintaining and ensuring all data is entered within the accounts payable system 
  • Assist with the loading of payments and EFT files
  • Running various aged payable ledgers and assisting with report writing 
  • Building rapport and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Performing any adhoc clerical duties, such as filing and record keeping 
A little about you 
To be successful in this position you will have a team orientation, a ‘can do’ and strong customer skills.
In addition, you will have:
  • Confidence in processing a high volume of invoices with accuracy;
  • Good stakeholder management skills;
  • Problem solving skills;
  • Initiative and accountability;
  • Proficient in Excel (VLookups, Pivot Tables etc)
  • A diploma or qualification in finance and/or business (preferred but not essential)
