Central, purpose-built offices; tech-passionate, socially-inclined team; several of the finest IT security technologists in the country; military clientele - Australian citizenship required
This boutique technology market leader guides the strategic thinking and practices of some of the most sensitive and technology-reliant Federal Government & Military agencies in Australia, and various other Western Governments. It is rare to find a collection of some of the greatest, most decorated tech / cyber security brains Australia; gathered together in so intimate a way. And yet, here they reside, alternately; redesigning enterprise scale IT architectures, analysing tier one corporate systems and networks, providing global thought leadership on next generation domain trends, or just spit-balling unheard of technology concepts, casually, over lunchtime ciders and chicken schnitzels. This organisation is truly unique.
The company’s Sydney practice currently requires a Python Developer / Software QA Analyst to join their compact software quality assurance team. You will be responsible for reviewing, amending and automating current SDLC and STLC processes across a range of sophisticated, cross-platform software products in view of customer requirements and standards.

The Python Developer / Software QA Analyst will hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, IT or similar and 1-5+ years of commercial experience within a corporate ICT environment. You will possess demonstrable expertise in Python engineering / scripting, broad operating systems exposure (Windows, Linux, iOS), understanding of continuous integration / automation and ideally broad exposure across the technology stack from embedded systems through to mobile platforms. More importantly, you have an creative, inquisitive and logical mind, a hunger to learn and a hardworking, doggedly good-humoured approach.
Given the sensitive nature of the client portfolio and information environment, you will also have the ability to gain and maintain an Australian security clearance (i.e. have an Australian citizenship as a minimum).
The Python Developer / Software QA Analyst engagement is not just another vanilla-flavoured IT job. Rather, it is the opportunity for an energetic, smart, ambitious technologist to work hand-in-hand with some of the top subject matter experts of their kind in Australia. It represents unique exposure not available via blue chip, big brand IT monoliths – despite what they might tell you. These guys have been at the top of their game in such employers; and have found a better way.
