The Company
 
This new Design Manager job is with a large tier 2 building contractor who deliver project the range of $30 - $90M. As their new Design Manager you will be joining one of the best builders in the Melbourne, who have a national presence and deliver medium to large scale commercial building projects.

If you are the ideal candidate to fill the Design Manager role, you will be commencing work on a large, technical multi-million-dollar build but will also be exposed to a wide variety of construction projects over your career in this firm. 

You will have opportunities to develop a career forward and will likely be highly driven and motivated. 
 

The Role
 
Your role will include, but will not be limited to;
 
  • Plan and control the delivery of the project design to ensure the achievement of quality, completion and project objectives
  • Manage the design approval process in accordance with project requirements and program
  • Consultant coordination and guidance
  • Development of project budgets and financial management of the construction project
  • You will be involved in tender stage design development
  • Design and design management pre-construction and during construction.
  • Client coordination and liaison
  • Development of project construction project and management of the construction team
 
To be considered 

To be considered for this position, you will have;
  • Tertiary qualification in property/construction related discipline
  • Previous experience as a Design Manager across the commercial construction industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to form strong relationships with staff, agents, consultants, builder and stake holders
