Due to recent growth, my client is seeking a qualified and experienced Construction Engineer to join their team.

The Role

As the Construction Engineer you will be overseeing the development of Residential/Industrial construction projects, ensuring the project is delivered on time, on budget and meets industry standards. The position requires the following:
  • Manage construction projects in the residential land development space
  • Administer contracts, including assessments of claims and processing payment certificates
  • Organise collection of Asset Recording and check suitability.
  • Issue notifications to Water Authorities and Contractors to enable works to proceed (MRWA Accreditation highly regarded)
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, sub-contractors, relevant Authorities, Management and Designers to resolve issues and communicate requirements/standards, ultimately ensuring that projects are completed successfully.
  • Attend site meetings, prepare and distribute meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Monitor Occupational Health and Safety standards on site, including the review of Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), prior to commencement of works.

The Candidate

To be successful in securing this unique opportunity, you must:
  • Significant experience (5+ years) in a similar role, preferably supervising construction in the land development industry.
  • Knowledge of Victorian Regulations.
  • Strong communication skills, in particular, the ability to clearly convey complex concepts, information and ideas.
  • The ability to influence and persuade at all levels, gained in a setting where there has been little or no direct authority.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, in particular, sound relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, as part of a cohesive team.
  • Sound time management skills, demonstrated by the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks with competing deadlines.
