Bis has a rare opportunity for an experienced Executive looking for their next challenge. You will join an Executive Leadership Team who have a wealth of operational experience, are passionate about delivering for our customers and creating innovative solutions for them. 
  
This is a highly influential role accountable for a broad portfolio.  This role has a focus on driving organisational culture, leading employee engagement, coaching, influencing, and building capability within the senior leadership team whilst ensuring the business is prepared for an exciting period of transformational growth.
  
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the overall strategic direction of the business whilst leading a broad functional portfolio of People and Culture, Safety and Sustainability and Workers Compensation and Injury Support.
  
You will have a demonstrated ability to shape culture and take a holistic and overarching approach to the different functional areas you are accountable for. You will be an engaging leader who enjoys leading and getting the best out of a fantastic group of people.
  
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be accountable for: 
  • Providing executive leadership advice and support to the CEO on a range of functional matters, including people engagement, workforce capability safety and sustainability and organisational effectiveness matters.
  • Ensuring that fit for purpose Organisational Design practices are implemented to drive and deliver business outcomes.
  • Lead, develop and implement the Safety and Sustainability strategy, vision, culture, and systems for the business.
  • Leading the implementation and communication of the Employee Value Proposition and ensuring this aligns with Bis’ Customer Value Proposition.
  • Maintaining and refining Bis’ approach to workforce planning and capability development, at an operational and corporate level.
  • Refining the remuneration strategy to ensure it remains fit for purpose and enables Bis to attract and retain the best in the market.
  • Deliver people insights to the business to challenge conventional thinking, through the utilisation of new systems, processes and programs.
  • Championing Bis’ diversity and inclusion program.
  • Developing and enhancing Bis’ communication and community engagement strategy that genuinely engages our employees, external candidate pool, communities and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation function which includes Comcare self-insurance license, injury management practices and health and wellbeing mechanisms of our employees.
We are looking for:
  • Extensive experience managing at a strategic senior management level in a complex, diverse, multi-site business
  • Significant experience managing multiple functional divisions including people and culture, safety and sustainability and worker’s compensation
  • Strong track record in safety support and leadership with a commitment to Zero Harm
  • Demonstrated experience with successful change management projects and process development
  • Ability to think differently, raising and presenting alternative views with conviction
  • Extensive external network and knowledge of external and industry trends
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of all relevant legislation
  • Well-developed negotiation, influencing and consultation skills
  • Sound problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Commerce, HR, Law, WHSE etc.)
