With more than $1.9b funds under management and as the regulator of the entitlements, the focus on investing the funds to continue to meet and exceed fund performance objectives, is of critical importance to the Board, the Executive and the organisation as a whole.
 
The well established and respected investment team, consisting of the Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager, seek to invite an Investment Analyst to join them to work closely together to ensure the investment portfolio continues to meet Coal LSL’s strategic objectives. This role offers the right candidate a broad range of responsibilities including, but not limited to investment strategy, operations, fund performance monitoring, reporting and procedural documentation. More specifically, the successful person will be required to:
  • Research and recommend new asset classes and strategies;
  • Be involved in all the operational tasks undertaken by the team,
  • Work with and maintain strong relationships with the Corporation’s Asset Consultant, Custodian, Investment Managers and Actuary;
  • Monitor and evaluate fund performance and risk;
  • Prepare reports for the Board and Investment Committee (attending quarterly Investment Committee meetings)
To be considered for the role, you will ideally possess a minimum of three years’ experience in financial services (investments) and demonstrate highly developed analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills. Articulate with strong written communication skills and experience engaging with outsourced providers, you will also be naturally curious, researching and seeking information to further add value to the investment team and the organisation.
