THE PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE

The primary purpose of the role is to work closely with the Commercial Finance Manager Australia to strengthen engagement and partnership with Commercial Team (i.e., Sales, Marketing, Product development and Product & segments) to effectively support the business in meeting the organization’s growth and profitability objectives. The role should also focus on providing the
Commercial Team and the Business with data driven insights and assist in the improvement of value adding information to the Teams in line with strategies.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Deliver innovative and credible reporting and actionable insights on a timely manner
  • Build knowledge on existing pricing structures with key accounts to enable provision of accurate information for critical Customer/Project negotiations
  • Finance support on the periodic price increase and new product development process
  • Play a critical role in the roll out of technology / tool / process improvement projects that are commercial related
  • Ownership of Commercial Team KPI trackers / dashboards / commercial finance reports on a weekly / monthly basis including closing out monthly results relative to the top line and commercial team related SGA
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Delivery of timely innovative reports which provides actionable insights to accelerate growth. Working closely with the Commercial teams to develop timely and relevant business reporting, KPI’s and analysis that provides insight into business trends & issues
  • Build knowledge and be the Finance champion in relation to pricing structures with key accounts to provide guidance to the Commercial team on significant Customer or project negotiations. Follow through the whole pricing process for key customer accounts from negotiations through to SAP set up and customer price list distribution
  • As owner of the key top line (i.e., volume, revenue and price) information, provide support in new product development, price increase process and play critical role on continuous improvement on process improvement projects including roll out of technology or tools
  • Assist in the monthly close out of top line results and commercial SGA and provide commentary on business performance against KPIs
  • Work on regional/global projects as required
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
  • A logical approach to problem solving combined with the ability to conceptualise and think creatively
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Competent technical skills in areas of key business processes including – Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash, Make to Ship and Account to Report.
  • Previous exposure to a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide useful insights into drivers of performance
  • Advanced Excel skills, intermediate user of Office applications
  • Experience with advanced analytical and reporting tools (e.g. Business Objects, Tableau, etc)
  • Bachelor degree or higher qualification
  • Fully qualified CPA/CA or equivalent post graduate qualification
