The opportunity
  
The Technical Buyer will plan, lead and organize procurement activities covering Manufacturing requirements such as MRP store items, Non-Part Coded items and all Maintenance Repair & Operation of the plant raised by each department through MRP PR, Work Order or manual PR (spares and consumables) which involves strategic sourcing, canvassing and negotiating within established policies and procedure and following James Hardie Global Business Ethics Standards.
 
Some other responsibilities will include:
  • Develop safety behaviour leadership in performing day-to-day task.
  • Develop capable and competitive line-up of suppliers to ensure continuous and efficient run of manufacturing plant and to drive commercial leverage and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Drive cost savings initiative and introduce innovation awareness through strategic sourcing approach (Spend Analysis) to generate significant, sustainable and unique savings.
  • Develop and maintain KPI’s to track key functional metrics to reduce Non Value Adding activities or processes to reduce total cost of ownership and improve effectiveness and process efficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain contracts as necessary for strategic and critical supplies and services in close coordination with Corporate Legal Team.
  • Develop partnership with an enabling function in mind with manufacturing team and across the organization to provide end to end total customer service experience.
  • Performs other functions that may be required by the business through leader from time to time.

About you
  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Industrial / Mechanical Engineering, Accounting or its related courses.
  • Minimum 5 years of extensive experience in the field of procurement, IMPEX and material planning under manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to drive end-to-end procurement operational processes.
  • Excellent in interpersonal communication skills, in-depth experience in partnering with operations management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Background in importation is a must.
  • Analytical, Resourceful & with good negotiation skills
