AGA is seeking a motivated individual to undertake an Education Support Traineeship with a Secondary School based in Sale. 

The successful candidates will work from 8:30am - 3:45pm Monday to Friday for 12 months whilst completing a Certificate III in Education Support nationally recognised qualification. 
  
Responsibilities:
  • Provide routine support for teachers
  • Provide a child safe environment in accordance with the child safe standards
  • Assist students on an individual or group basis in specific learning areas
  • Assist in the preparation of student resources and equipment
  • Assist with toileting, meals, lifting, and administration of medication to students requiring special care
  • Perform routine administrative activities
  • Assist with coordination and planning of student routines
  • Provide routine customer service tasks such as reception and providing straightforward advice about the school
  • Provide routine support tasks with respect to grounds and school maintenance.
  • Undertakes routine tasks that are usually carried out under close supervision and direction.  Work that carries some degree of independence will generally involve a limited number of tasks performed on a regular basis where priorities are clear, procedures are well established and direction is readily available.

Requirements:
  • Drivers licence (preferred)
  • Willing to undertake a Police Check and/or Working With Children Check
  • Genuine interest in working with children 
  • No prior qualifications necessary
AGA Trainees will:
  • Attend accredited RTO training 
  • Receive ongoing mentoring & support
  • Receive a weekly wage including entitlements
  • Work 5 x days per week (school hours)
  • Work one on one with students
  • Support children with disabilities and/or special needs
  • Government funding available for eligible candidates
