In partnership with AGA, Jet Aviation Defence is seeking motivated individuals to undertake an Aircraft Line Maintenance Traineeship, based at RAAF Base East Sale. Jet Aviation Defence is a leading integrated aviation solutions provider.

As an Aircraft Line Maintenance Trainee, you will perform a range of specified maintenance tasks on aircraft. The successful candidates will work full time for 24 months and gain valuable hands on work experience at the PC-21 Maintenance Organisation. Whilst gaining experience, trainees will undergo Nationally Recognised training via a Certificate II Aircraft Line Maintenance (MEA20518).

Duties include: 
  • Carry-out flight servicing activities including inspections, refuelling and ground handling for a fleet of Defence aircraft
  • Remove and install aircraft components in a flight line environment
  • Perform basic hand skills, standard trade practices and fundamentals in aviation maintenance
  • Interpret and use aviation maintenance industry manuals and specifications
  • Apply quality standards applicable to aviation maintenance processes
 Requirements:
  • A mechanical/avionic aptitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment
  • Genuine interest in Aviation
Trainees will:
  • Work full time (38hrs per week)
  • Attend accredited RTO training
  • Receive ongoing mentoring & support
  • Receive a weekly wage including entitlements
  • Provided with personal protective equipment
