Conservation Land Management Traineeship - Whittlesea

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to learn all aspects of conservation land management. This is a 2 year, full time traineeship which includes attending accredited training to obtain a nationally recognised qualification.   
  
Key responsibilities:

• Re-vegetation – planting tube-stock with tree guards. 
• Biomass reduction through mowing and brushcutting
• Ecological burning – attending burns
• Seed collection and direct seeding
• Weed control
• General maintenance using mowers, brushcutters and chainsaw
• Liaising with members of public 

Requirements:

• Drivers licence preferred 
• Passion for nature and working outdoors
• Willing to undertake a Police Check and/or Medical
• Willing to process a working with Children check

AGA Apprentices will:

• Attend accredited RTO/TAFE training
• Receive ongoing mentoring & support
• Receive a weekly wage including entitlements
• Become fully qualified Gardeners
