This major player in the packaging sector has created a new role for a capable and experienced Sales Manager to provide strategic focus and sales leadership to develop and execute new market opportunities. The role covers 2 distinct distribution channels – FMCG manufacturers and the other being largely public sector with associated diverse challenges and opportunities - this requires a seasoned senior level sales profile.
  
If you have a strategic capability to identify, scope out and implement business opportunities, then this is very exciting in terms of your brief to grow both existing and new business segments. Essential is the acumen to see opportunities and to passionately influence internally and externally, to seize those chances! The industry is competitive and challenging yet rewarding. This brief sees you having substantial impact to take the business forward.
  
Your brief is sales, but will encompass developing business cases covering new product development life cycles from inception to grave – financial and operational elements, and needing to understand manufacturing capability and constraints. With national responsibilities, you will have significant knowledge in a business to business market environment, likely with a large business. You excel at negotiation and commercial understanding of tendering of large pieces of business, driving value in key accounts.
  
You will be a results-driven individual possibly from a packaging/print or similar background; most important though is your business acumen. Your reputation for delivering sales results is standout, as is your natural ability to develop people, processes and pipelines.  You possess a strong professional presence, experienced operating at all levels of an organisation. Given a complex portfolio of SKUs mix and opportunity, you will possess strong skills in analysis, planning and forecasting.
