Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Accountability for Outbound logistics, distribution center activities.
  • Provide direction and support to 3 direct reports to ensure operations are maintained at a high standard.
  • Design and implement strategic plans that ensure delivery company mission, quality policy, financial and customer service objectives.
  • Formulate learning and development programs for team development.
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 6 years of logistics and distribution experience as well as have a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on logistics or management-related disciplines. Given the highly collaborative nature of the organisation, the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders is vital to achieving success. Finally, you will need to have experience managing a team of professionals at various levels and be able to operate effectively as a part of a team with accountability for business results.

Through the management of the DC, you will establish strong working relationships with both internal and external customers, whilst implementing processes and systems that achieve best practices across this complex operation. The wide scope of this leadership role provides critical support, ensuring the fluent day to day functioning of a large, multi-functional and highly skilled Supply Chain team. Leading by example, you will be given the opportunity to demonstrate your passion for mentoring and thirst to continuously grow as you become actively involved in running the day to day operations of the DC. You will have a high level of understanding of logistics in a driven, fast-paced environment working with a fully automated Warehouse Management System.
