About the role and you:

Our Sustainability and Resilience Team is seeking a Mid to Senior level engineer with knowledge on sustainability, recycled materials in road construction and waste management within the transport industry to join our Melbourne based team.  The successful candidates must be proactive, take full accountability and truly be passionate about making a difference within the transportation industry.
We are seeking an individual who is keen to be a part of ARRB’s future and who will be a key team member contributing to the delivery of local, State and National projects and initiatives.
We seek:
  • Applicants with 7+ years relevant road infrastructure experience with sound sense of infrastructure sustainability and resilience
  • Tertiary qualifications, degree or postgraduate in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or related engineering areas
  • Someone passionate in developing and contributing to projects related to sustainable and recycled pavement materials, waste management and environment management
  • Highly skilled in leading the preparation of bids, proposals and be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships
  • Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to simplify communication for complex problems
  • Takes responsibility for decision making on delivery of projects to agreed output, budget, quality, rigor and timetable requirements
  • Sound experience in interpreting and translating complex laboratory or scientific results to a practical outcome that can be understood by general audience
  • Proactive approach in identifying new clients/areas of interest, developing proposals and/or unsolicited bids and winning jobs successfully,
  • Proactive and flexible in dealing with various clients e.g. government bodies and recycling industry bodies
  • Highly developed collaboration skills, demonstrated experience in working with experts/professionals from multiple business/disciplinary areas.
