The Position

Reporting to the supervisor your duties will include:
  • Advise carriers of time slot requests in a timely manner
  • Pro-actively chase original Bills of Lading prior to ETA when required
  • Check payment terms and collect COD payments prior to delivery
  • Ensure shipments are cleared of any customs and quarantine formalities prior to cargo availability
  • Dispatch EDO’s to the relevant carriers 
  • Co-ordinate shipment deliveries to meet client service agreements
  • Maintain shipment status information regarding planned delivery and actual delivery
  • Provide customer service to assist with client and internal inquiries

  • Experience in a similar role within the freight forwarding industry
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Desire to work in a deadline driven environment
  • Positive and flexible demeanour
  • Professional communication skills
  • Cargowsie/EDI experience essential
  • Fulltime working rights within the Australian market
