The Position

This is a critical role based in the customer service/operations team where you will be accountable for:
  • Arrange collection and delivery of valuable cargo consignments.
  • Execute operational tasks booking job orders, handling daily imports, exports, customs clearance and deliveries.
  • Create, maintain and complete job shipment files in company in-house EDI System.
  • Create, maintain and complete all relevant paperwork (shipment requests, AWBs, security receipts, pre-alerts, etc).
  • Co-ordinate shipments with relevant local and international vendors .
  • Input accurate shipment costs and revenue information in to relevant systems.
  • Maintain clients and vendors relationships ensuring security and service expectations are preserved.
  • Monitor and keep clients updated with shipment status and exceptions.
  • Provide assistance and resolve customer complaints regarding service issues in a timely manner.
  • General administration duties.

The Requirements

To be considered for this role you require:
  • Well developed freight forwarding experience in operations and customer service with a freight forwarder
  • Ability to identify and meet customer needs
  • Experience with valuable cargo an advantage 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commercial attitude
  • Can do attitude and a team player
  • Available to take calls out of hours in an emergency
  • EDI experience desirable 
  • OASIS or ICS would be a bonus
  • Microsoft Excel and Outlook experience
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
