The Project/Operations Lead is responsible for the delivery of information technology infrastructure and service management outcomes. The role is responsible for ensuring that the major vendors delivers operational services to agreed service levels and continue to improve and evolve their suite of services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to multiple project teams, including 3rd parties, to deliver solutions on time and within defined quality/scope
  • Manage the delivery of Network and Telephony services to meet  ongoing business requirements
  • Lead the outsourced team (vendors) to ensure that Network and Telephony services are operated to expected outcomes, including adherence to SLA's
  • Provide oversight of escalation, prioritisation, and drive stakeholder communication during critical events
  • Work collaboratively with teams and partners to demonstrate thought leadership and bring about new ways of working
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders recommending improvements to operational activities that will enhance service robustness and reliability


Skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable highly advanced verbal and written communication skills and documentation ability
  • Experience and knowledge of a broad range of Network and Telephony technologies ideally in the Cisco space. 
  • Extensive experience in successful performance management of external IT service providers.
  • Demonstrable experience in outsourced IT vendor model, managing outcome through others will be required
  • A good understanding of ITSM, IT best practices and how to apply this effectively in a Service Provider environment
  • Demonstrated success in taking a continuous improvement approach to IT service Management in an outsourced environment.
  • Extensive knowledge, service management experience and appreciation of all aspects of information technology infrastructure domains and security.
  • Understanding of emerging technologies / improvements so as to appropriately balance risk and enablement.
  • Possess analytical, conceptual and structured thinking.
  • Sound financial and commercial acumen.
