The firm
One of Australia’s largest and fastest growing boutique specialist family law firms is looking to recruit family law leaders to support its national structure, expansion and growing reputation as market leaders. In the last 12 months and during the global COVID crisis they have grown 40%. Over 7000 potential clients a year contact this firm and its specialist lawyers for family law advice such is its presence. They pride themselves on their approach to ‘New Law’, their client service model, and creating a positive, flexible and supportive, inclusive environment for their clients and staff.

The Role
The firm is looking to recruit senior practitioners to lead their business and assist with the growth of the firm in NSW. Already with a successful  presence in the Sydney CBD the firm is looking to establish offices in North Sydney, South Sydney, and other areas of Sydney and NSW regions where the population supports a specialist family law firm.

You will have autonomy to establish the office, build the brand, and make yourself the public face of the firm in your region. You will be supported by the current State Head of Legal, the management team and board of the firm, to be a success in every aspect of law and legal operations. You will be part of the state leadership team and help shape the company on a national  stage.
In this role you will enjoy the ability to lead, undertake quality work with the opportunity to be involved in all family law areas including divorce and separation matters, parenting disputes and children’s matters, financial agreements, mediations, property settlements and appeals. Crucially, you will also have a voice in the management and direction of the firm.

About You
You will be a law firm owner, existing partner, senior practitioner, with several years’ experience and ideally be an accredited specialist. Alternativley you will be a highly driven younger lawyer with aspirations to Partner.

You will have a client following and/or an ability to grow referral networks.
You will be ambitious with a drive for achievement, affiliation and leadership.
You will have a demonstrable personal brand.
You will have the ability to lead a team.

Currently you will be an owner, Partner or Special Counsel/Senior Associate equivalent. You might be looking to merge your firm with a bigger specialist firm. You may be feeling disenfranchised with being a family law practitioner in a mixed practice where family law is not recognised for its unique contribution. Alternatively, there may be road blocks to Partner at your current firm.
