Due to a committed ongoing increase in volumes, we are looking to invite a Site Design Engineer to join our team of SAED (Site Acquisition, Engineering and Design) experts.  

The role will see you provide site designs and construction drawings on Civil Telecommunications projects.

This role will see you:
  • Review and develop all concept, preliminary and detailed civil designs for sites 
  • Conduct site design visits and inspections to prepare preliminary designs for new and upgrade of sites
  • Review detailed designs and direct Drafters and Structural Engineers for amendments
  • Provide cost effective design advice that translates to safe and efficient construction
  • Liaise with all levels of staff within the SAED team, gather and manage customer requirements and expectations
  • Act as the state based channel for all SAED pre-construction technical, project and quality issues where related to design and construction concepts
  • Ensure that all SAED project/contract milestones are delivered on time
  • Assist in compiling site the 'Design Hand Over Pack' to the client
  • Prepare variation quotes for provision to client based on revised design briefs and construction drawings
  • Liaise with the Operations Team and construction contractor for field level changes and identify potential impacts that may affect SAED design and certification requirements, e.g., scope, client and construction compliance, costs, etc.
  • Prepare forecast BOMs and construction estimations for site construction activities to assist client decisions on costs
  • Provide support and advice to the Operations Team regarding logistics on delivery of BOMs, to support BOMs lead-time managements.
  • Coordination of site access including permits, keys, access cards and equipment for site design visits and inspections
  • Coordinate site safety reviews and assist with Quality Audits
We are targeting candidates with:
  • Previous experience in site design and the construction of telecommunications infrastructure
  • Experience with managing sub-contractors involved in design and construction
  • Experience in field logistics and estimation
  • Experience with managing company internal resources involved in design and construction
