A leading consultancy is actively recruiting several Senior C++ Software Systems Engineers to join their permanent team in Sydney. Providing services to large federal government agencies, we are seeking an accomplished engineer to be involved in the entire SDLC.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Software Requirements Analysis
  • Software Architectural Design
  • Define test criteria for all software units against their requirements;
  • Produce software units in accordance with the software design and project standards;
  • Establish consistency and traceability between software units and requirements and design;
  • Test the software units against the requirements and the design; and
  • Complete peer review of software units developed by others.
  • Develop an integration strategy for software units consistent with the software design and the prioritized software requirements;
  • Produce integration software items defined by the integration strategy;
  • Establish consistency and traceability between software design and software items; and
  • Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) Development Responsibilities
  • Software Requirements Specification and Software Design Description
  
To be considered for this position essential requirements include: 
  • All candidates must be eligible for a security clearance, therefore all candidates must be Australian citizens
  • More than 7 years' experience in ISO12207 SDLC activities ( includes software requirements, design, construction, integration and verification);
  • Use of requirement analysis and management tools;
  • Use of UML software design tools;
  • Use of software configuration management tools;
  • Work progress and estimation experience;
  • Use of defect tracking systems; and
  • Team collaboration skills.
  • Use of test management tools;
  • Use of IBM-Rational DOORS, Sparx Enterprise Architect and Product/Application Lifecycle Management systems;
  • Development of mathematical models
  • Experience with Ada, C++, C and Java software languages; and
  • Experience with software development in a UNIX environment.
  • Familiarity with Australian Defence documentation and technical process requirements is highly desired
