The Role
 
The Project Manager is the accountable leader for the project. Their ultimate purpose is to own, manage and deliver Technology / Business projects, shape, lead and influence key stakeholders and users through interpersonal skills, negotiation and communication and set direction, address issues, and manage team members across Technology and the business.
 
Your duties will include, but not be limited to: -
  • Define and scope a project, working with 3rd parties, suppliers, and business stakeholders to specify the detailed scope, implementation approach, schedule, budget, resource plan, project structure required to successfully deliver a project
  • Identify and document key risks, constraints, dependencies and underpinning assumptions, as well as  actions/mitigations required to address them
  • Define the overall project structure, governance and escalation structures required to ensure the project receives appropriate guidance and direction
  • Prepare, track and manage a detailed project schedule, identifying critical path activities
  • Prepare a detailed budget, capturing underpinning cost assumptions; track and report actual spend and forecast spend against approved budget
  • Identify / agree the required business change management approach required to ensure successful project implementation, including defining/agreeing the change and training plans if required
  • Prepare and deliver status reports, project presentations
  • Provide direction to project team members and business stakeholders/users as required, regarding their roles and responsibilities, project timelines and deliverables
To be successful, you have the following skills and attributes: -
  • Demonstrable project delivery experience from definition, detailed scoping, planning through to execution and delivery (end to end project life-cycle)
  • Experience working in agile environments desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to manage clients and other stakeholders
  • Experience in product/vendor selection, and vendor contracts
  • Proven ability to resolve conflict
  • Proven team building and motivation skills
  • Willingness to apply and use client-specific project management / solution delivery methodologies and tools
