Business Development Manager for QLD & SA / Remedial / National Presence / Permanent Position / Sydney

We are working with a leading company for the remediation building industry. They have been in operation for over 20 years across Australia and are at the forefront of modern technology and materials and major projects.

We are currently sourcing a Business Development Manager to join their busy operation based in Sydney. This position involves targeting a range of clients in QLD & SA, so you will need to have had prior experience in either one of these states. You will target large builders and contractors, various developers and private owners, Architect & Engineering firms. The role will include a large amount of new business development. 

The role requires someone who is extremely self-motivated and ambitious as there will be no micro management. There will be travel involved in this position. An immediate start is available.

  • Target potential customers across all renovation aspects in QLD & SA
  • Maintain awareness across the sector  
  • Mapping of target businesses in specified regions
  • Book and conduct meetings with potential customers
  • Develop interest via cold calling, seminars & mailshots
  • Interact and liaise with internal engineering & technical staff 
To be successful you will have
  • Prior experience working in a business development role - at least 3 years.
  • Previous experience in the Remedial sector in QLD or SA
  • A strong technical understanding of the Construction industry (renovation / remedial)
  • A proven successful track record in a sales environment
  • The ability to work autonomously
  • A self-starting, motivated and ambitious attitude
  • The ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships with your clients
  • Fantastic people and communication skills
