Our client is seeking an experienced Lawyer or Associate to join our Hamilton Hill office on a full-time permanent basis. The main responsibilities of the role are to:
  • Be responsible for the success and growth of the Superannuation and Insurance business in WA
  • Manage litigious client files end to end in the areas of life and disability insurance and general insurance
  • Lead the litigation function in Hamilton Hill and be responsible for local business development
  • Provide technical support and file supervision to our Claims department
  • Deliver on business objectives and strategic outcomes

The candidate
This unique role will play a key role in contributing to the success of the WA Superannuation and Insurance team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills with an underlying passion for helping our clients achieve the best possible outcomes. Involvement in business development and the ability to maintain and develop stakeholder relationships is a must. An understanding of the local market would also be highly regarded. In short, we are looking for a motivated lawyer who is interested in furthering their technical career and building a litigious practice!
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Minimum of three years’ experience working within a plaintiff injury or insurance litigation environment
  • Good relationship building skills with both clients and team members and a focus on service delivery
  • Excellent organisation skills and an ability to multi-task
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to provide leadership and guidance to support staff
  • Experience working in a high volume work environment with adherence to business objectives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
