Currently we have a (L/T Contract) Senior / Lead DevOps Engineer role available. You will maintain and optimise the software delivery pipeline tools and processes. We are looking for someone with deep and diverse experience in a broad range of technologies, including AWS, automation, scripting, networks & security

Key Responsibilities:
● Management and ownership of DevOps environments and components in an AWS-heavy environment
● Continual improvement of test/production environments and toolsets
● Escalation & advanced troubleshooting across key technologies
● Identify opportunities to improve and automate manual build and release processes.
● Collaborate with the software development team in understanding application prerequisites and application testing.
● Deliver independently while working in an agile environment.
● Own and lead initiatives to define, design, and implement DevOps solutions. ● Be a subject matter expert on DevOps best practices with infrastructure as code, and Configuration Management.
● Maintain a repository of DevOps tools, templates and reusable practices.

Essential Experience:
● Several years commercial experience developing and maintaining DevOps toolchains.
● Previous experience with DevOps engineering, creating CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo, standardising application packaging and deployment providing scalable application primitives, and automating software infrastructure environments.
● Ability to effectively communicate with business stakeholders and technical leadership groups.
● Previous experience developing a DevOps culture.
● Strong knowledge of AWS and associated DevOps services.
● Extensive experience using AWS CloudFormation and other configuration tools.

● PowerShell / Bash
● AWS Cloudformation
● AWS CodeDeploy
● Experience with container technologies (Docker)
● Experience using monitoring tools (Splunk, DataDog, CloudWatch)
● Working knowledge of Artifact repository management (NuGet)
● Windows AMI base image automation (PowerShell, Cloudformation, AWS Cmdlets)
● Python
