International Fund Manager seeking Accountant- CPA for 12 month mat leave FTC. Remote to begin, Sydney CBD post covid- must be based in NSW to apply

Our Client, an international fund manager with offices in UK, Europe & Asia is seeking and experienced Accountant for a 12 month fixed term contract.

The role is available due to cover maternity leave. However, the team is expanding and there will be an opportunity to move into a permanent position.

Staff members are currently working from home due to Covid and an emphasis on maintaining a safe work environment. However, there is a view to return to the office before Christmas 2020. 

Their office is based in the Sydney CBD, close to Wynyard and Circular Quay.

Applicants will be accepted from those residing in NSW only due to current Covid-19 travel restrictions.

The Accountant will be required to undertake financial and accounting functions as assigned by the CFO. These may include:
  • Management / Financial reporting
  • BAS / IAS, corporate tax queries
  • Income distribution from OS subsidiaries
  • work with auditors and financial advisers
  • bank reconciliations
  • budgeting & forecasting

Experience / Qualifications required:
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or possess a professional qualification
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably with large reputable organizations
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Hands-on experience in group consolidation using Cognos Controller or Yardi software will be an advantage
