Curtis Partnership have partnered with a well established and rapidly expanding distributor/wholesaler within the FMCG market that is 100% Australian owned and operated.  They import and distribute quality consumer brands across Australia, holding key strategic relationships with some of the largest consumer goods companies while also having a number of private label brands.

After a successful 25+ years of building an enviable operation, this well-regarded enterprise has established themselves as a leading supplier of FMCG products across Australia.

They are now looking for a Supply Planner to operate and manage the supply chain across various product categories in the company.

Duties & Responsibilities 

This role will be responsible for the following key areas:
  • Maintain sales orders & forecasts in ERP system.
  • Carry out clear and effective communications between customers and the business, highlight any supply risks on a timely basis.
  • Identify and address the reasons for any potential supply risks promptly then provide alternative plans to customers to approve on a timely basis.
  • Discuss forward purchasing plans with internal team to identify potential problems and resolve the issues at an early stage.
  • Discuss with customers on order priorities when there’s foreseeable capacity constraints.
  • Revise the plan together with the planning team to ensure minimum customer orders and internal resources are affected.
  • Perform root cause analyses of DIFOT misses, out of stock and aged stock situations and implement improvements.
  • Raise purchase orders with suppliers in a timely manner. Communicate with suppliers for expediting or delaying orders to ensure packaging is available as per the production schedule

Skills required
ERP system and Microsoft Excel experience is required in order to be successful in this role. A minimum of 2 years supply chain management or related background is also necessary. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail.
