The Property
 
Everyone without fail that sees the plans for this venue is literally "Wow'd". The venue is something special. It's not from luck though, the owner has invested in getting it right all the way through from the high-end designer's (some of Sydney's best), the furniture/fit-out and vision. It's somewhere you would be happy to have your family and friends come in and visit.

The Role

This is a multi-dimensional role; perfect for a lover of fine wines, craft beer and unique spirits. We’re looking for a manager to run the day to day of this stunning, boutique bottleshop which has a ‘drink-in’ and very cool retail food space with a well-credentialled Chef.
  
These guys are really breaking the mould of your standard liquor store so it is a great opportunity to build on some already great ideas and work with some incredible product.

Apart from off-sales, the store will have an on-premise option and serve as a ‘waiting space’ for the restaurant as well as having a small bar feel in the later evening.
  
You will be responsible for all the usual aspects that come with running a bottleshop
  • Ordering
  • Receiving and invoicing
  • Stocktake
  • General maintenance
As well as a few of the creative aspects – sourcing new and exciting products, organising tastings and events, product launches and food and wine matching with the in-house menu.
  
You will be responsible for a small dedicated team as well as working with and collaborating with the team in the kitchen and restaurant.  
  
This role could be perfect for an experience bottleshop manager or for a FOH manager looking for something a little different.
  
What you will need
  • Strong knowledge across wine, beer and spirits, ideally a WSET certification or similar
  • Exceptional customer service with a connected and genuine approach
  • Highly organised and systems-oriented
  • Experience with POS systems and stocktaking
The Offer
  
This is an established business and one known for treating their staff well. A sample roster would look like 3 day shifts 9am – 7pm and 2-night shifts 6pm – 2am with most Sunday's and Monday's off.
