The Company:

Our client is a leading Solar Farm Developer with expertise across the full range of solar power applications, ranging from stand-alone solar farms and storage applications to complex hybrid projects. Within the domain of electrical infrastructure, our client has significant experience and engineering capability essential for the successful integration of solar power to the grid.

The role:
The Electrical Project Engineer will report directly to the Operations and Maintenance Director and be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of 3 Solar Farms.
 General duties will include:
  • Organisation and procurement of resources to perform Maintenance activities (subcontractors, specialised companies, suppliers)
  • Budget management of operational Solar Farms
  • Working with engineering department, to troubleshoot issues that arise during the Solar Farms operational lifespan
  • Manage a single or a portfolio of solar projects, ensuring that all O&M activities are undertaken in accordance with the agreed contractual scope
  • Response to any issues for the sites raised by the project Clients (operational or non-operational)
  • Ensure compliance with granted work permits
  • Review of subcontractor’s contracts
  • Driving a strong safety culture on site
  • Ensure that works are completed in compliance within the appropriate Australian standards.
Experience required:
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • 2 years’ experience in the construction or maintenance of Solar Farms
  • Strong understanding of a solar farms design
  • Experience managing sub-contractors
  • Excellent team and communication skills
