Our Client is a leading Member based superannuation fund with a friendly community feel!

The Insurance Manager is responsible for the implementation of the General Insurance Code of Practice and assisting with the implementation of the Insurance tender. The Insurance Manager is also responsible for assisting the Insurance Administration team by reviewing processes and managing any defects and enhancement projects in the administration registry platform.

Responsibilities of the role:
  • Comply with the Funds policies and procedures
  • Manage fraud and corruption risks
  • Identify gaps in process and make recommendations for compliance
  • Regularly review controls to ensure minimal incidents
  • Liaising with funds Insurer to ensure service quality standards are met
  • Participate in projects
  • Provide input on the direction of the strategic and management plan
  • Make recommendations on system enhancements
  • Management of the insurance policy and documentation
  • Lead the implementation of insurance changes
  • Other tasks as set out in the full job description

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have experience with General Insurance (Group Life / Income protection highly advantageous)
  • Have experience with Life Insurance within Superannuation
  • Have a strong risk awareness
  • Have knowledge on the General Insurance Code of Practice (desirable)
  • Demonstrate a leadership quality and able to work closely with Executive team
