Payroll Officer


Immediate requirement for an experienced Payroll Officer for a 6 month contract, covering a New Zealand payroll.

The Company
We have an urgent and immediate requirement for an experienced Payroll Officer to join global business located on the lower North Shore. This business operates a head office for ANZ and so this candidate must be experience managing a full New Zealand payroll including all relevant legislation.  

The Role
Your duties include; 
  • Preparation of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll
  • Month end and year end tasks (payment summaries, BAPS, Kiwi Saver)
  • Reconcile Payroll General Ledger Accounts
  • Payment of relevant taxes, workers compensation premiums, workers compensation FTE & wage declarations, income protection insurance premiums & superannuation contributions (quarterly) and novated lease payments.
  • Maintenance of all biographical information and ensuring the strictest confidentiality is exercised
Your Profile
To be successful you will; 
  • End to end New Zealand payroll processing experience (Ideally 200+ employees)
  • Accounting degree (or working towards)
  • Preferable previous exposure to Kronos
  • Computer literate – knowledge of Microsoft Office required, proficient in Excel
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstration of strong communication skill, written and verbal
