The role of the Corporate Accountant is to contribute to the efficient and accurate financial processes by ensuring the timeliness, accuracy and completeness of financial reporting to assist stakeholders in their decision making.

This opportunity will help the finance team through a backlog of FBT lodgement, tax and compliance reporting. 

Tax & Compliance:
  • Prepare monthly tax calculations including income tax and preparation of the IAS for tax consolidated group and associated entities.
  • Coordinate and prepare working papers for other reporting obligations to the ATO such as AIIR, QTFN and CRS/FACTA.
  • Prepare and lodge Annual RBA survey.
  • Coordinate, prepare and analyse working papers to support FBT return.
  • Assist with the preparation and lodgement of the company’s income tax.
  • Preparation of other regulatory returns (such as ABS returns).
  • Maintain and develop detailed documentation for all processes
Financial Reporting:
  • Assist with the completion of month end reconciliations and accounting journals to finalise monthly reporting of profit and loss and balance sheet of the Group.
  • Assist with the preparation of half yearly and annual statutory accounts for all entities within the Group
  • Develop accounting papers and documentation to provide guideline on the current accounting practice and prepare impact analysis on the financial statements.
  • Apply and maintain hedge accounting. Analyse and review monthly mark to market movements and review hedge effectiveness.
  • Maintain Bloomberg portfolio to determine monthly fair value of financial instruments.
