Senior Integration Developer - Java/Mulesoft


An immediate requirement has come up for a Senior Integration engineer to help lead a MuleSoft API Gateway project for a Financial Services Business.

About the role:

FourQuarters Recruitment, in partnership with a key technology client are currently looking for an Integration Developer (MuleSoft) to join a Financial Services company on an initial 6 month contract, with potential for extension.

You will work on a newly created project role to assist the business with an API Gateway project kicking off this month. You will draw on your existing MuleSoft experience to help the business implement the use of MuleSoft for their integration work.

The body of work involves working on end-to-end delivery of prioritised pipeline of APIs/Integration initiatives and enhancements, including programming with TDD, integration testing, documentation and maintenance of application systems. Working within an agile business environment, you will be assigned to work day to day in platform delivery, alongside a diverse skill set and capabilities including business and technical resources focused on the improvement and support for the technical platform.

This role would ideally suit someone who understands bridging business requirements with technology solutions and someone who can share their MuleSoft experience with the wider business.

Essential skills and requirements:
  • 9+ years hands on experience as a software developer in Java/ J2EE
  • 2+ years of MuleSoft Integration experience 3.x and/or 4.x, design and development using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Mule APIs and experience in building modern APIs
  • MuleSoft Integration and API development experience – RAML and/or Swagger, JSON, SOAP and Restful API development, including best practices and API security
  • Exposure to development in Linux environment
  • Good understanding of OAuth2 and SAML
  • Docker, Maven
  • Familiar with DevOps practices (CI/CD) with tools such as Jenkins, GIT, Newrelic
  • Solid understanding of Microservices design principles, integration patterns, and best practices including message systems
  • Understanding of modern web applications and SPAs
  • Experience working in an agile team and collaborating with multiple teams
  • Delivering microservices using modern integration and API technologies
  • Design, develop and support software platforms to deliver business outcomes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and raise opportunities for continuous improvement in order to optimise the delivery from both quality and speed to market perspectives
