With its office based in the South East suburbs of Melbourne, the position offers real workplace flexibility, with flexible hours and the ability to work entirely from home, with the longer term view of working 2-3 days in the office. 
The role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, for this immediate standalone temp to perm Payroll position you will become a vital cog in a high performing finance team in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for end to end payroll, processing alternating weekly payroll and addressing payroll queries within required deadlines.
Team and customer service focused, you will provide a high level of service to key internal stakeholders and ensure staff are paid on time. The key duties of the role will involve the following;
  • Payroll processing in SAGE Micropay (weekly for approx. 400 people)
  • Payroll reconciliations
  • Payroll accruals/journals
  • Update systems/procedures
  • Updating and maintaining personal records
  • Processing new starters
  • Terminations/annual leave calculations
  • Overtime calculations
  • EBA Award and interpretation
Skills & experience

The successful candidate will obtain a strong technical knowledge of full function Payroll and be customer service focussed. Experience in using large Payroll systems working for a medium to large sized business (min 3+ years) will be looked upon favourably, experience in SAGE Micropay is preferred but not essential. You will also be resilient and able to multitask and manage a high-volume workload. Also your skills will include;
  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills (v look ups/pivots)
