The Company

This proudly Australian owned business in the FMCG sector based in the South East suburbs of Melbourne has been experiencing strong growth over the last 5 years. This growth has been due to the company’s consistent innovation, and investment into expanding their product portfolio and distribution networks with new and existing customers.
The role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this full-time, temp to permanent role will enable you to become part of a close knit and high performing Finance team of 4. You will be responsible for the collection of overdue accounts via outbound collection calls and providing outstanding service to a loyal and growing customer base. The role will be comprised of; 
  • Managing large number of National + small accounts (approx 1500)
  • Creating new accounts
  • Ascertaining credit viability of customers
  • Outbound Collections
  • Maintaining your own ledger (approx $2m)
  • Credit queries
  • Processing rebates and other credit claims
  • Stop supply 
  • Weekly and monthly credit reporting
  • Issuing of account statements
  • Raising credit notes/returns
Skills & experience

The successful candidate will have a proven collections ability and maintain a minimum of 3- 5 years in a similar Credit Control position, preferably within the FMCG industry.
Experience in working alongside internal sales teams and processing rebates/credit stock claims will be ideal. There are components of this role which are largely admin based, and you MUST have intermediate excel skills (ie vlook ups/pivot tables). You will maintain excellent communications skills and be self-motivated. Above all else, you will have a passion for streamlining processes and implementing process improvements where you see fit.
