We have a great opportunity for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our high performing technology team, where smart, passionate engineers are focused on delivering scalable platforms, web and mobile apps.

Our tech stack is cloud native on AWS and our platform is message based with eventual consistency. We apply SOA/microservices and DDD practises, using Node.js, ExpressJs, GraphQl, C#, Angular and React as well as many other technologies.
  
ABOUT YOU
  
You are from a development background and have found that you love engaging in the operations of live systems - everything from engaging with customers and internal client services teams, through to troubleshooting complex bugs and performance issues. You keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and practices & you look beyond what you know to find what is possible
  
You should be enthusiastic to contribute, learn and be part of a team – our

You are a fully functioning human and possess great interpersonal and communication skills
  
You have worked in complex business domains and supported complex platforms in customer facing environments and come out on top.


WHAT WE NEED


  • Experience in executing a support function for customer facing products and services (IT or non-IT)
  • Strong engineering, system administration, networking or DevOps background
  • Solid experience with AWS
  • Experience with application monitoring and log aggregation tools (Loggly, Splunk, AppDynamics, New Relic)
  • Experience scripting (e.g. PowerShell/bash)
  • Experience in a Microsoft stack
  • Understand how to make platforms resilient and scale appropriately
  • Understand the fundamentals of quality code, source control, continuous integration and delivery
  • A continuous improvement mindset
  • Solid experience in SQL scripting
  • Strong interpersonal skills, drive, and ownership
  • Experience in automation and an ”automate everything” approach
  • A cool, methodical approach to troubleshooting and debugging problems, especially during stressful periods
  
  
ADVANTAGEOUS
  
  • Understand the fundamentals of message-based platforms, SOA & Microservices, eventual consistency
  • Experience with NodeJs ExpressJs/GraphQl
  • Experience with NServiceBus
