Our client is the world’s leading cloud-based commodity management supply chain platform. This platform allows you to manage your contracts, deliveries, inventory, orders, invoices, and payments all in one place in real-time.
 
We are looking for a CTO to hold the vision & strategy while building-out and owning the roadmap thru sound technical and people leadership.
 
You will have exceptional operational skills to manage a team of 16 in technology. You must have a solid business and commercial acumen, and have the presence from a leadership side to talk to investors and potentially present in front of large groups. As the CTO you will be in charge of resource management across the technology team to ensure you have the team to deliver on what you need to execute on. Career planning & pathing, hiring, the ability to manage remote teams, and key third-party relationships are all vital for this job.
 
On the technical side, you must hold the vision & strategy and build-out and own the roadmap in an agile environment. You will have the world-class strategic capability across the roadmap and ability to bring it down to a 6-week cycle & delivery plan with a series of 2-week sprints. The process is key, the CTO will need to be able to hold agile, and role model the rituals and user story leadership to ensure the team improves as the company goes through its next growth phase.
 
On pure tech, CICD, dev sec ops over azure moving to AWS, microservices architecture, a good familiarity of Blockchain is a major benefit in securing this job – you need to understand the benefits of tracking digital assets on-chain. A quality mindset is vital, build in warranties on the execution and help the Release Manager build out on the release plans and to ensure warranties. Agricultural affinity would be good.
 
This is an excellent role for someone who’s managed bigger budgets, worked in a larger engineering role perhaps as a senior engineer, and now wanting that CTO role.
