About the role:
As the Systems Management Specialist you will design, deploy and upgrade the organisations applications to the customer in large healthcare environments. You will be leading the discussions with the client architecting a solution that fits their environment and needs.
  
Responsibilities :
  • Support the process of deploying application build/releases/patches in accordance with agreed processes and procedures.
  • Ensure that service level metrics are monitored, reviewed and reported on a regular basis and that the necessary steps are taken to resolve any issues or negative trends that may be identified.
  • Provide technical support for all areas of hosted services; ensure the timely resolution of incidents and/or problems affecting hosted solutions and deploy approved changes and/or updates as required.
  • Provide technical support for custom development, i.e. JavaScript, user-defined functions, interfaces, reports, extracts, data migration scripts and conversions.
  • Participate in on-site technical training if required.
  • scripting, maintenance, and verification of backups.
  
  
Experience :
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Linux server administration.
  • Good Knowledge and Experience of VMware vSphere 6.5 with vCenter configuration and administration.
  • Proven complex troubleshooting experience.
  • Primary administration of servers covering installations, upgrades and day-to-day maintenance and operation.
  • Cisco UCS Blade Service infrastructure
  • Puppet and Chef configuration management 
  • Strong scripting skills (Shell, Perl, Python) Highly advantageous
  • Strong Database exposure; SQL and Oracle highly advantageous
