About the Company
A well-established construction company in the CBD has been in business and stayed in business for over 20 plus years. Their projects consist of large scale residential and commercial projects. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role has been created to assist with the growing demand and the strive for excellence across the country.

The Role
As the HR Business Partner, reporting to the Managing Director you are given the opportunity to make your mark in the industry and company creating a HR centre for excellence and an opportunity to be part of the next milestone of the business. This is an opportunity where you will be responsible for all of the recruitment and HR administration, processes, accreditations, performance management/reviews as well as career development for every employee across the business.
  
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Managing Director, as the HR Business Partner, your role is not limited to and will require an advisory approach across all management across the business as well as:
  • Provide coaching and support on a range of employee and industrial relations matters
  • Ensure corporate guidelines are followed
  • Assist management with succession and development planning with consideration to relevant retention strategies across the organisation
  • Implementing policies and procedures
  • Implementing and drive performance management, including disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • Implementing processes for recruitment and selection, training and development and succession planning
  • Undertaking recruitment across the organisation
  • Contract management
  • Performing staff inductions
  • Managing workers compensation claims, EHS/WHS documentation, return to work programs
  Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources
  • Strong background in human resources management, ideally derived from the construction industry
  • Sound knowledge of industrial relations / employment legislation
  • Expertise in EHS / WHS
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills, with the ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels to drive business performance
  • Ability to work well both autonomously and within a team
