In Australia, recent project successes combined with a number of other significant project opportunities means that WSP is now strengthening its maritime business and recruiting for a number of positions to sit within the maritime team in Australia.  
  
We are seeking a Project Manager with proven experience in the planning and implementation of infrastructure projects or programs of work. To be successful in this role you will be a dynamic project manager who can manage multiple projects and use your exceptional leadership skills to lead and foster a good safety culture and ensure the safety and well-being of staff.  You will have exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to deliver a clear message and drive the delivery of successful outcomes on schedule.

Key accountabilities (but not limited to):  
  • Comply with all role specific SHEQ obligations.
  • Manage own project or manage a task in a larger project.
  • Partner with client facing representatives across WSP to ensure full implementation of market and client strategies, creating high levels of client service and opportunity.
  • Lead and undertake development activities of staff to help them realise their potential, and the success of our people and business.
  • Accountable for embedding Project Controls, Contracts Administration, Construction Management and Cost Planning into Projects systems and processes.
  • Accountable for meeting (or exceeding) the project objectives (scope, time, cost, SHEQ etc).
  • Accountable for undertaking contractor management activities as required to deliver high quality project delivery services.
  • Take Pursuit and/or Proposal Manager roles as required on proposals to lead and influence the success to internal and external clients.
  • Responsible for deploying risk management principles & methodologies into Project systems and processes.
  • Responsible for deploying change management principles & methodologies into Project systems and processes.
Key role experiences, skills and qualifications:  
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification and relevant technical, commercial experience and demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Typically, 8+ years' experience.
  • Proven experience in delivering Maritime, Ports projects and is recognised in the industry.
  • Experience working with public and private sector processes and clients.
  • Built and maintained client relationships.
  • Established a professional profile within the industry.
