Your opportunity

Come and join our growing National Advisory Team to work with key clients in developing strategic business and investment cases, driving the development of and investment in significant infrastructure in the national Transport, Water and Power sectors. 
We are looking for senior and principal level team members who can transform the deeply technical into compelling infrastructure investment cases to government and private sector investors.
The key things you will be doing within the Advisory team are:
  • Leading business case development with our Transport, Water and Power clients, based on your deep understanding of Government assurance processes  
  • Maintaining and further developing relationships with key clients and stakeholders 
  • Coordinating and leading infrastructure investment teams to bring together technical studies and economic/financial analyses 
  • Providing strategic and operational management advice – a trusted advisor to clients 
  • Providing advice to government clients on investment decision making frameworks and governance processes 
  • Helping to lead and grow business case capability across WSP 
  • Coaching and mentoring within the Advisory Team, providing leadership and expertise 
What can you bring to the team:
  • Experience developing preliminary, strategic and final, detailed business cases  
  • A passion for solving complex infrastructure and societal problems 
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills, with strong capacity to engage and consult with our clients and lead clients’ stakeholder engagement processes 
  • Focus on problem definition and refinement, robust options identification and analysis and gaining stakeholder agreement on preferred solutions – bringing critical thinking and analysis into investment decision making 
  • Post-implementation and delivery reviews, critically assessing outcomes delivered through business case processes and identifying opportunities for improvement at whole of government level 
  • Experience in implementation planning and organisational impacts  
  • Understanding of contemporary procurement strategies and frameworks including partnerships, alliances and private sector investment 
  • Infrastructure due-diligence advice and analysis 
  • Experience predominantly in Transport, Water and Power sectors, potentially also in Resources and Property 
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on commercial and quality client outcomes  
  • You will need a degree qualification in business, commerce, communications, finance or economics
Our team includes offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Newcastle, with flexibility to negotiate your preferred location and we are proud to offer full-time, part-time (3 days per week minimum) and flexible working arrangements for our team members.
